Enjoy Beauty and Uniqueness of Lake Suoh, West Lampung

INDEPHEDIA.com - Besides Kubu Boat Nature Tourism on the back of Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (TNBBS), Mount Pesagi, Mount Seminung, Bukit Mandi Angin (Wind Bath Hill) and the beautiful Lake Ranau, West Lampung Regency, Lampung Province, Indonesia, also has a lake that is not less unique and beautiful, namely the Suoh tourist area which has three lakes formed by the 1994 Liwa earthquake, each named Lake Suoh Wide, Lake Acid and Lake Oil.

As the name implies, the characteristics of the three lakes vary, such as Lake Acid with a low water pH and sour taste, then Lake Oil whose surface looks sparkling, like floating oil. However, because it is the most extensive of the two other lakes, Lake Suoh or Lake Suoh Wide is much chosen by tourists for a vacation.

Lake Suoh attractions are located in the Suoh tourist area, Kalibata Hamlet, Sukamarga Village, Suoh District, West Lampung Regency. To go to the location of the lake can be reached via Sukabumi-Suoh, Batu Brak District, about five hours drive from the capital Liwa or via Sekincau.

Lake Suoh Wide covering an area of about 65 hectares is located not far from residential areas. The lake water is clear, but when viewed from a distance it is deep blue. Uniquely, in this lake there is an island in the middle of the lake. By local residents, the island filled with trees was called the Wide Island.

Other uniqueness around Lake Suoh is that of grasslands, vast silica sand, several hot springs, forests and small rivers with a strong smell of sulfur to places that are endemic to semar bag flowers. This place, a tourist attraction that is still natural and suitable for nature lovers and adventurers who like peace. (WS.IN/ENG/*)
