Hacked Vulnerable Account, Don't Use This Type of Password

INDEPHEDIA.com - Britain's National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) in its research and analysis found that millions of people use passwords that can be easily guessed on sensitive accounts.

In this finding, it certainly helps uncover gaps in cyberspace knowledge that can put anyone in danger, especially exploited for certain interests.

According to NCSC, in order to safeguard the security of our account, at least three random words are easy to remember. Unfortunately, many people use the same password and are easy to crack. Here are 4 types of passwords that should not be used because they are included in the list of passwords that are vulnerable to being cracked.

1. Common Phrases

It was found that "QWERTY" - referring to the top six letters of the left-hand sequence of alphabet keys on a computer keyboard - ranked in the top five easily cracked passwords. That phrase competes with "PASSWORD". For those of you who intend to use the two words as a password, reconsider.

2. Sequential Numbers

In addition to the common phrase, the password "123456" turns out to be used in 23 million accounts that are victims of a number of individuals. Besides the password, the second most easily guessed sequential number is "123456789". Then, a series of numbers that is also popularly used by hacked accounts is "1111111".

3. Common Names

Some people's names are also used as passwords. But it was revealed that a number of popular names, such as "MICHAEL", "DANIEL", "JESSICA", "CHARLIE", and "ASHLEY". If you use words or famous names as passwords, your account will be at risk of being hacked.

4. Soccer Team

NCSC found a number of football club names used as weak passwords. The first position for the easiest password to break is "LIVERPOOL" followed by "CHELSEA". For those who idolize the soccer team, you don't have to use it as a password if you want your account to remain safe from potentially abusing people.

So, avoid and don't use first names, soccer teams, or favorite band names as passwords. Because, your account is very sensitive to being misused when using these words.

Although passwords mean keywords, it is better not to use words alone. When creating passwords it's best to start with structured sentences. Choose sentences that are easy to remember, but you should not use information about your life.

Also avoid using the names of pets or family members. The longer and not connected to you, the better the password. (SBB.IN/ENG/*)
